Learning from Patient 31 case: a cross-cultural perspective of corporate networks’ diffusion ability in Latin America

Objective: This paper has the purpose to discuss how corporate networks’ big linkers constitute a development opportunity area in Latin America. Method: We employ qualitative analysis that blends social networks literature and builds on interlocking directorates (IntDs) theory with fascinating case study labeled ‘Patient 31’ phenomenon occurred during coronavirus outbreak South Korea. Main results: generate managerial conceptual insights diffusion processes of business practices, which have series profound implications for practice present differences their ability. Relevance/Originality: Viral contagion are not secret health sciences, but they still underresearched context practices regarding processes. The COVID-19 virus been (and is) significant threat global since beginning 2020, as well an operational challenge almost every organization around world. Theoretical/Methodological contributions: results highlight superspreaders’ high power, warn about risks including 31’- type spreaders members firms’ boards, also provide recommendations policy makers could harness this ability over organizational networks.
